With everyone's health and safety in mind as a top priority, HCII2021 will be organized and run as a virtual conference.
Due to multiple requests from prospective authors, the deadline for paper submissions has been extended!
Detailed information about proposal submissions is available through the Conference website.
HCI International 2021, jointly with its Thematic Areas and Affiliated Conferences, held under one management and one registration, invites you to participate and contribute, through papers, posters, or tutorials, to this major international forum for the dissemination and exchange of up-to-date scientific information on theoretical and applied areas of HCI. Past HCII Conferences were attended by about 2,000 participants from more than 70 countries.
HCII 2021 will be held under the auspices of 21 distinguished international boards. Please visit the Conference website for the list of topics of each Thematic Area / Affiliated Conference.
Additionally, the Conference has a long established tradition of inviting distinguished scientists and professionals in the broader HCI field to organize parallel sessions. Prospective authors should submit their proposal upon invitation from a session organizer. The process is open until 29 January 2021 (under the guidance of Parallel Session Organizers).
An award will be presented to the Best Paper of each of the HCII 2021 Thematic Areas / Affiliated Conferences and the Best Poster extended abstract.
The Conference Proceedings will be published by Springer in a multi-volume set. Papers will appear in volumes of the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) and Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence (LNAI) series. Poster Extended Abstracts in the form of short research papers will be published in the Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) series.
The Conference Program is adapted to suit the needs of the virtual format. Parallel sessions and tutorials will run concurrently over the six-day period (24-29 July 2021). In this way, the daily load of the conference is four hours (two sessions, two-hours each, with a half-hour break in-between).
Prof. Michitaka Hirose (University of Tokyo, Japan) will give the Keynote Speech during the Opening Plenary Session Saturday, 24 July 2021, 08:00 EDT (Eastern Daylight Time Washington DC, USA). Detailed information will become available soon through the Conference website.
HCII 2021 is organized and will be run as a virtual conference and all fees are offered with a 50% discount of the 'in-person' fees.
Detailed information about the registration fees is available through the Conference website.
The Covid 19 pandemic has caused people to stay home, work from home, socialize from home, shop groceries, and food from home, all through their computer screens. The equipment, chairs, tables, computer keyboards, and so on at home are not necessarily optimized for such long hours of usage. In addition, the stress related to working from home with children, without any social activities, and sometimes fear of losing jobs, adds tremendous stress and anxiety to people that leads to increased work-related injuries.
"TECH STRESS" is excellent reading for all people who are in this situation. It provides readers ample information on how to deal with it and informs them about the ergonomics aspects of their working conditions and particularly the role of stress. "TECH STRESS" is written in a very easy and accessible language and is understandable to all readers. It includes plenty of illustrations, examples, and advice that will undoubtedly help people improve and manage their working conditions.
If you are working from home, I recommend reading “TECH STRESS" and recommending it to people around you who also help to improve their working conditions.
